Swiss startup Unplex, which develops AI agent automation solutions for regulated sectors, has entered into a strategic partnership with Infront, a European provider of financial data and technology solutions. According to the press release published by Startupticker.ch on 15 October 2026, the agreement marks the starting point of Unplex's market entry. This is neither a funding round nor an acquisition: no financial transaction is mentioned. It is a distribution agreement coupled with a move into production.
What the partnership involves
In practical terms, Infront now offers the “Infront AI Workspace, powered by Unplex” as an add-on module for its two portfolio management systems, Assetmax and Infront Portfolio Manager. According to the press release, the first users are already working with the solution and others are being onboarded.
The idea is to combine Infront's data and system integrations with Unplex's agentic automation technology. For Infront's clients, this means access to agentic AI tailored to the governance requirements of regulated firms, without having to integrate a separate system.
AI in wealth management: for which tasks?
The tool is aimed at wealth managers. It is meant to let them automate tasks such as preparing meetings, processing account statements or drafting reports for clients.
In recent months, Unplex has worked with pilot clients from Swiss wealth management to bring the main use cases to production maturity: client account opening, preparation of client meetings, quarterly client reports and MIS dashboards for management. The agents work directly with data from the portfolio management system. These solutions are now available for production use.
A regulated sector, explicit safeguards
Wealth management is not an easy testing ground for AI agents. The press release details several safeguards. The portfolio management system remains the system of record, and the Infront AI Workspace does not execute any transactions itself. All outputs are reviewed and approved by staff at the wealth manager concerned, then fully documented in an audit trail.
On the data side, the environment is hosted in Switzerland and data is processed exclusively in Switzerland and the European Economic Area. These points directly address the governance expectations highlighted by both partners.
Going through existing tools rather than client by client
For Unplex, the benefit is first and foremost commercial. “The partnership with Infront is the starting point of our market entry. Thanks to the integration into Assetmax, Unplex is available to Assetmax's entire client base,” explains Dominic Rogger, CEO and co-founder of Unplex. “Instead of connecting each wealth manager individually, we reach the market through the systems they already use. Alongside Switzerland, we are also addressing the German market with Infront.”
Enrique Sacau, CEO of Infront, highlights the client relationship: “The wealth management industry thrives on trust and relationships, and that is precisely where wealth managers' time and expertise create the greatest added value. When AI agents work directly in the portfolio systems that firms rely on anyway, they get more out of their data with significantly less manual effort, while retaining full control. That is why we are integrating AI into solutions across all our business areas.”
Infront, a European distribution channel
Infront presents itself as the leading European provider of data and technology for the investment industry. Its solutions, divided into Data Intelligence, Portfolio Management and Advisory, and Trading and Investor Solutions, cover critical processes across the entire investment cycle. According to the press release, they serve more than 3,500 firms and 70,000 finance professionals in Europe.
For a Swiss AI startup, leveraging this network makes it possible to enter a demanding market through a door that is already open. However, the press release gives neither the number of active clients, nor the module's pricing, nor a precise timeline for the German market.
