Electrical cabinet manufacturer Centiel is lowering its target for the current year. According to a statement released on Monday, reported by Allnews based on an AWP dispatch, 2026 revenue is now expected to be around 55 million, compared with the 65 million previously forecast. The company cites the postponement to next year of the delivery of an order won in July in the United States.

A target lowered by 10 million

Between the old and the new target, the gap amounts to 10 million in revenue. Profitability is also affected: the operating margin before interest and taxes (EBIT) will top out below 20%, whereas that level had until now been the threshold set in the company's roadmap.

These figures remain forecasts. Both the 55 million and the margin below 20% describe what Centiel expects for 2026 as a whole, not an observed result: the year is not over. What is a matter of fact, however, is the revision itself, announced on Monday, and the reason given for it.

An order postponed, not lost

The cause put forward concerns one specific order. Placed by Neo Critical Power, a new customer based in Wyoming, it is worth 8.7 million dollars. Its delivery was contingent on obtaining a regulatory certification. That certification has since been obtained, and the order will be delivered next year.

According to Allnews, this is therefore a shift in timing rather than a loss: the order is not presented as canceled, but its impact on sales slips from 2026 to the following year. The dispatch does not detail how the 10 million gap in the target breaks down between this dollar-denominated order and any other factors.

A second contract still to be signed

Neo Critical Power has also signed a second contract, worth 51 million. Centiel has yet to sign it in turn: the contract is therefore not yet formally concluded by both parties. The dispatch specifies neither its currency nor its delivery schedule.

Two possible readings

The revision can be read in two ways. A cautious reading stresses that the revenue target is falling and that the margin is dropping below a threshold the company had set for itself. A more nuanced reading points out that the stated cause is a delivery postponement, with the regulatory obstacle now cleared, and that the same customer has signed a second contract.

The two readings rest on different elements of the same announcement. Open questions remain that the source does not settle: how much of the gap will next year actually be able to recover, and how much weight will this new American customer carry in Centiel's accounts if the second contract is signed?
