Zurich-based marketing technology company Nexoya says it has nearly tripled its annual recurring revenue (ARR) over the past three years. According to the company's figures, reported by Startupticker.ch, this ARR exceeded 3 million francs in early 2026. The showcase is a project with ITA Airways, in which the Italian airline recorded up to 58.63% more bookings on certain routes in the short term.
The problem Nexoya wants to solve
The starting point is simple. AI agents are gaining ground in digital marketing, for example to manage a given advertising channel such as Google Ads, Meta or LinkedIn. But, according to Startupticker.ch, they still struggle to decide what to do with a company's overall marketing budget and how to split it across channels. That is the area Nexoya has been working on for eight years.
Its AI-based platform connects marketing and sales data from the various channels, analyses attribution (which channel contributed to which result), forecasts future results and recommends how to allocate budgets across the entire marketing mix. The latest addition: an attribution product that brings attribution, forecasting and budget optimisation together in a single platform. This is a product launch, to be distinguished from the partnerships and client results described below.
ITA Airways, the textbook case
The most detailed project concerns ITA Airways, an Italian airline that is part of the Lufthansa Group. It operates more than 700 routes and nearly 200 performance-oriented digital campaigns in 25 countries. After using Nexoya's forecasting and optimisation model, it recorded up to 58.63% more bookings on certain routes in the short term.
Yet the most telling figure is not this peak. Across the 20 routes included in the initial test, bookings rose by an average of 8.56%. The 58.63% is a maximum observed on individual routes; the average gives a more representative idea of the effect measured during the test. ITA Airways plans to gradually extend the model to its entire network.
The model was developed in partnership with the data and marketing consultancy JAKALA, based on two and a half years of flight and sales data, booking behaviour and demand patterns by route. It forecasts demand and dynamically allocates advertising budgets across routes and channels. For Marco Hochstrasser, CEO and co-founder of Nexoya, the project matters because of its complexity: the company is moving from generic marketing automation to sector-specific optimisation.
References, notably in Italy
Besides ITA Airways, Nexoya lists Italo, Facile, Stroili, Scholl and Nexi among its clients, as well as partnerships with the agencies JAKALA, Publicis and Dentsu. The company entered the Italian market last year and is strengthening its position there, according to Startupticker.ch.
It also works with large organisations such as Generali, Zurich Insurance, Vodafone and Enercity, and serves more than 500 advertising accounts. It highlights several results achieved with its tools:
- a return on investment (ROI) of 800% for Zurich Insurance / DA Direkt;
- a 23.3% increase in sales for Enercity;
- 15% revenue growth in three months for Italo Treno.
What these figures are worth
All the figures in this article come from the company, via Startupticker.ch. Neither the calculation method nor the reference periods are detailed. It is not known, for example, how the 800% ROI was measured, or what the same period would have yielded without the tool. No independent verification is mentioned.
The same caution applies to the ARR: the starting level three years ago is not specified; only the 3 million franc threshold has been disclosed. As for the client results, they say nothing about what the platform would deliver elsewhere: every sector and every campaign has its own parameters, and a good result for one client is no promise for another.
Nor does the available information say anything about total revenue, current profitability or any funds raised. This announcement does not concern a funding round: it is a progress update on commercial growth.
Next steps: international expansion and positive EBITDA
According to Startupticker.ch, Nexoya's financial performance remains solid thanks to its growing client base. The company is now working towards positive EBITDA, while devoting its funding to product development and international growth. It employs 28 people, including part-time staff.
“We are seeing growing demand from large companies that want to make their marketing investments more efficient. Our next step is to scale this impact internationally, while continuing to push the boundaries of AI-driven marketing optimisation,” says Marco Hochstrasser (quote translated from English).
The next concrete test remains the rollout at ITA Airways, across a network of more than 700 routes. That is where it will become clear whether the gains measured on 20 routes hold up at a larger scale.
